Premiere: Aimée Steven: Hell Is A Teenage Girl Video Recently featured in Bearded’s Introducing column, ascendant Liverpool singer Aimée Steven unveils her first single of the new decade, Hell Is A Teenage Girl.

Taking its title from a line of dialogue in cult 2009 horror-comedy Jennifer’s Body, the track was issued through Liverpool company Jacaranda Records last Friday to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8th.

A slice of indie noir pop with a vintage US garage rock atmosphere, the cut was produced by Grammy Award winner Jon Withnall (Elbow, Rihanna, Howling Bells and The Coral).

Led by tremelo’d guitar and an earworm chorus hook, the 45 is the North Liverpool native’s finest single to date, with accompanying visuals to match, an impressive single-shot clip filmed at raucous Liverpool nightclub / venue EBGBs.

The launch for Hell Is A Teenage Girl is on Friday 26th March at the recently refurbished iconic Liverpool venue The Zanzibar, famed for its legendary 2000s Bandwagon club night that spawned The Zutons, The Coral and The Bandits.
